The program:
10:00 am - Meeting in Piazza San Marco, in front of San Marco Café
10:15 am - Walking along the square to the Giardino de' Semplici, the Florentine Botanical Garden
10:30 am - Guided visit to the garden
11:30 am - Walking towards the Orticoltura Garden
11:40 am - Guided visit to the garden and the monumental glass-house
12:45 pm - Walking towards the Restaurant Gastone
1:00 pm - Lunch with Tuscan specialties and wines After the lunch, the group will be escorted in the Ponte Vecchio area ("Old Bridge"), where the Boboli Garden is located.
2:30 pm - Guided visit to the Boboli Garden, one of the largest and finest Italian gardens
3:30 pm - Return back to the meeting point and end of the excursion

The Noble Parks and gardens of Florence
Behind many a noble building or monastery, you can find a hidden garden, often closed to the public. This program explores the tradition of the Italian garden architecture in the middle of the ancient center of Florence.
Day Tour Program:
10:00am: Meeting in Piazza San Marco, in front Café San Marco, or at your hotel in Florence.
10:15am: Walking along the square to the Giardino dei Semplici, the Botanical Garden of Florence.
10:30am: Guided visit to the Botanical Garden. Established in 1545 by Cosimo I de\' Medici, the Florentine Botanical Garden is the third oldest botanical garden of Europe, after the ones in Pisa and Padova. Today, the garden contains some 9,000 plant varieties and is maintained by the University of Florence.
11:30am: Walking towards the Orticoltura Garden
11:40am: Guided visit to the Orticoltura Garden. Created in 1859 by the Tuscan Society for Horticulture these gardens are home to one of Florence\'s more unusual architectural treasures: the magnificent glass house or Tepidario. Built in the Art Nouveau (or Stile Liberty) architectural style by Giacomo Roster in 1879, this impressive steel and glass pavilion is used on a regular basis for gardening exhibitions.
12:45pm: Walking towards the Ristorante & Vineria Gastone.
1:00pm: Lunch at Ristorante & Vineria Gastone – enjoy your well-deserved break in this much praised locale with Tuscan specialties and wines. After the lunch, your group will be escorted to the Ponte Vecchio area, where the Boboli Garden is located.
2:30pm: Guided visit to the Boboli Garden, one of the largest and finest Italian gardens. The Boboli Gardens are also the most popular city park. The gardens\' architectural landscaping and collection of sculptures, ranging from Roman antiquities to the 20th century, make it a veritable outdoor museum. Discover the picturesque amphitheater, the “Ocean” and “Neptune” fountains, as well as the staircase leading to the Garden of the Knight, the Cave of Buontalenti, and a thousand other beauties – all with stunning views of the center of Florence.
3:30pm: Return back to the meeting point, or to your hotel, and end of the excursion.
